SECTION V - HEALTH HAZARD DATA

The toxicity of the product is determined by the toxicity of the pheromone active ingredient.

The toxicity of this pheromone will be similar to the toxicity of other Lepidopteran pheromones, i.e.:

LD₅₀, Oral, Rat: >5000 mg/Kg

LD₅₀, Dermal, Rabbit: >2000 mg/Kg

LC₅₀, Acute Inhalation, Rat: >5 mg/L

Primary Eye Irritation, Rabbit: Mildly irritating.

Primary Skin Irritation, Rabbit: Moderately irritating.

EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE

EYE CONTACT: May cause transient irritation.

SKIN CONTACT: May cause transient irritation

INHALATION: Due to product form exposure not expected.

INGESTION: May cause upset stomach in large doses.

CHRONIC: Long-term studies on the active ingredients have not been done, however, no adverse effects expected.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES

EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes with water.  Get medical attention is irritation persists.

SKIN CONTACT: Wash  with soap and water.  Get medical attention is irritation persists. 

INHALATION: Not  a likely route of exposure due to product form.  However, if an exposure occurs remove victim to fresh air.  Give CPR if not breathing.  Get medical attention.

INGESTION: If symptoms appear get medical attention.  Give symptomatic and supportive care.

RECOMMENDED EXPOSURE LIMITS: None established.

LISTED AS CARCINOGEN BY NTP, IARC, or OSHA: No.

OTHER HEALTH EFFECTS: No known adverse effects expected.

CONTAINER DISPOSAL: Used containers should be wrapped in newspaper, placed in garbage bag and discarded in trash.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORAGE, ETC.: Store in cool area.  Protect from freezing.  Do not allow product to contaminate water sources, food or feed.

As of the preparation date, this product did not contain a chemical or chemicals subject to the reporting requirements of Section 313 of Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 and 40 CFR Part 372.
